Grumman "Wildcat"

The Grumman "Wildcat" pictured below is on the aircraft carrier YORKTOWN in Charleston, S.C. It was restored by the Grumman retirees. The wreck was found in Lake Michigan after an interment of about 50 years. The Navy used two old side paddlers converted to training "Carriers". It was painted to represent the F4F-3 Wildcat flown by Lt. Edward "Butch" O’Hare of VF-3 Feburary 1942.
