On Final Approach On December 21, 2003, longtime LIEFC member Charlie Daly passed away. Charlie joined the CLUB in 1978. A machinist, he worked for the Jerome Engineering Co. at Roosevelt Field 1939-1940 and Liberty Aircraft Co. in Farmingdale 1940-1943. Charlie was a US Navy SeaBee from 1943-1946. He worked for Ranger Engine Corp after he left the Navy and later opened his own machine shop. His talent was put to good use at the Cradle of Aviation Museum where he was a volunteer. He will be missed.
